For some reason, Wordpress didn't let me know about these two comments, so I apologize for the delay in publishing them (I finally checked my dashboard).

Aaron--that is inspiring. I hope we get there! :)

Ilona--I'm encouraged and appreciate prayer for my follow through, as I'm juggling so much right now, but this seems key.

I encourage you to follow through on this- this year I began praying with some other women at my home and it has been one of the best things I have done in a long time! We all go through that training (and sometimes with numerous repeats) in getting focused and less distracted in prayer. Keep at it- that changes into excitement at a certain point.

Love to see this direction- it is so personally encouraging to me :)

Wonderful post, Myrrh C., a challenge to us all! Thank you.

My wife and I pray together every night before going to sleep. If we are apart, we pray over the phone. Haven't missed a single night in 11+ years of marriage. If Jesus is the glue that holds us together, prayer is the clamp.

We pray together at other times too, like when we're facing a big decision or trials, etc., but that regular nightly prayer has been such a blessing in our relationship. Yes, of course, it's not always what I would call "quality," but it's an act of the will, a commitment to each other and God.

You know, it's very difficult to stay really mad at your spouse after being in the throne room together!
